What a Day

I'm not writing this to gain your pity. This is simply me venting my frustration. Today was horrible. And it really shouldn't have been. I woke up feeling refreshed, after a great nights sleep. The birds were singing, I made an omelette...I mean, these are the things that great days are made of. Right? Well, I had to drive to the library to print out some documents, since I have no printer in my house. At this point you're thinking "Why is he not at work on a Wednesday?" and the simple answer is this: I believe that businesses should follow certain codes of ethics. The one I was working for did not share my belief, and decided to let me go. Long story short, I'm now spending time worrying about traveling to a library to print out documents. When I parked my car and exited the driver seat, I heard a prominent hissing sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. Fearful of snakes, I thought twice about approaching the sound. I overcame that fear to find air geysering (i know thats not a word, but the image fits. just go with it) out of my tire. The car was sinking before my very eyes. Thankfully I've changed a tire before, so I opened up my trunk to get the temporary tire. At the very instant my fingertip grazed the metal of my car jack, I began getting pelted with hail. We're talking the instant my filange hit metal, all hail broke loose. So there I was, kneeling beside my car working the jack around the tire in the parking lot of a public library. I can only imagine that the bystanders were thinking I was trying to steal someone's tire. Then wondering why I would do that in a hail storm. At a library.

I was able to get the spare on no problem, and went inside to print out the documents that lead me on this fiasco in the first place. So, mathematically speaking, adding the weight of being jobless to the pressure of having bills to pay multiplied by this ridiculous trip to a library = Not a good day. I think I deserve some Pi after all that (oh no he didn't).
