So, I've been more busy lately than ever before...and I kinda like it. Since my last post there have been several life-changing events I wanted to fill you in on so you know where I'm at with everything.
First and foremost, I no longer work for a company that sells hookah related merchandise. God be praised. I am officially my own boss, working from home, and I have never been happier. The weight lifted off my shoulders was so cumbersome and heavy, it's like I'm a new man. Even my health has gotten better. Plus, and here's the best part, I can work in my pj's! Hell, today I even did some work butt-ass naked (that's right ladies). Needless to say, it's been awesome.
Second, my dad landed a job here in the city and my parents have officially relocated here! I am so happy for both of those things to have happened, because I've been to the same place my dad was (unemployed for too long) and trust me, it aint pretty. The fact that he was able to stick it out and pull through really says something about his character as a man, and I'm incredibly proud of his perseverance. And now we have babysitters that are only 15 minutes away! Not that we'll need babysitters any time soon...
Third, my wife and I received our tax return, and it has taken a financial load off of both our backs. When I saw that Uncle Sam had credited the money to our account, I couldn't help but run around the house singing the Rocky theme:
It has changed our lives, because now we can afford things we've been in desperate need of for a very long time. In fact, this weekend we will be going to get furniture for our master bedroom (sleeping on the floor got really old). And I've been able to buy my first website for my business. On top of that we've come up with a Wants and Needs list, and so far we've stuck pretty close to our goals.
And with my new job, our financials are really solid at the moment. It's funny that money can cause such a strain on our health, but with these past turns of events I've been more stress free than ever before.
So that's where I'm at with my life. In a nutshell. Things are surprisingly good. It's like I'm being set up for something huge to come burst this bubble I'm in. Until then, I'm going to be one happy bubble guy.
